Our 10th Anniversary is a Great Marketing Opportunity! Join As We:

Raise funds for the James Madison High School marching band, and the Vienna Volunteer Fire Department (VVFD). Specifically, the funds will enable the band to go to their first national competition, and will help fund a new fire engine for the VVFD.

Public school music programs are vastly underfunded despite research that shows music education builds analytical capability as well as self-confidence and discipline. The “Pride of Vienna,” James Madison marching band has been performing for over 30 years and is recognized as one of the top programs in the country.

A portion of the proceeds also goes to support the Vienna Volunteer Fire Department. In fact, the start/finish line for the race is on Cherry Street, adjacent to the firehouse.

We encourage sponsors to setup in the fire department parking lot at the finish line of the race to promote their business in the “finish line festival.”

Last year, over 1,000 area runners registered for this event! This year we are adding a 10k to our already popular 5k and Fun Run to make the event a true local “running festival.”
